The Brick by Brick dress is inspired by the streets of Brooklyn New York City where graffiti art has been a pulsing visual phenomenon since the 1960’s. As a textile designer I find inspiration in graffiti especially in colours and styles of writing and drawing. I perceive it as a medium of what the vibe of the time, we are living in is. I designed the brick by brick dress to showcase a street and yet elegant aesthetic targeting a female who wants to empower her curves.
